Hot Buzz! Branching Out
Earth to trends! Mother nature endowed us with some buzz-worthy motifs, and my current rave: branches. Leaves or no leaves, I think it strikes a certain ennui that makes me wanting more. Whether you want to go decor or fashion, its a great way to add some fun sophistication to your design--and having it on any season besides winter is what makes this interesting! So if you dare to go bare of florals this spring, opt to extend a little branch.
Rage Page: Seeing Red
So if you're still a little shy about painting your lips and nails a flaming red, look to these red accessories instead. I am totally drooling over that Elsa Peretti pendant. My sister has one in silver, and it does wonders to any casual outfit--imagine what red would do!
Outside the Box: Holiday Party Glitz
So the holiday season has been here for a while now (a bit early though, don't ya think?), and many of you may have pulled your glittery sequin dress from the back of your closet to rock the parties this year. Or maybe you've been eyeing that glitterati clutch to tote around. Here's another idea: why don't you try keeping your outfit simple this holiday season, and bring all the drama to your neck?
I like this one from White House ($68) because it has all the glamour that you need for a holiday get together, but the Hematite finish makes it look vintage and unique--glitter with refinement. Pair it with a plain black dress or even a white T-shirt dress and leggings. Doll up your face with smokey eyes and you got people saying, "WOW. And she's not even trying."
And that's the whole point, right?
In Outside the Box, I'll give trends a second thought and think of ways to bend the trend.
Rage Page: Peace Out
My personal fave will have to be peac-ing it with jewelry, like the Julie Wolfe and Tiffany number. With a white deep V or scoop neck T-shirt and skinny jeans, you can be chic with a touch of hippie charm.
In Rage Page, I'll gather up what I'm raving at the moment.
